Story

Humanity's "Prometheus Cell Project," an initiative to merge gene editing with AI for societal advancement, led to an uncontrolled disaster. An unknown "collapse factor" escaped, corrupting organic cells and electronics, resulting in a "Great Collapse" that devastated cities, mutated nature, and pushed humanity to the brink of extinction.

As the last surviving cyborg with a natural resistance to the collapse factor, players are contacted by the "Stellar Core" AI. This AI, from the former experimental base, guides the player to investigate the origins of the collapse and discover a method to reverse the catastrophe, as the cyborg is the only being capable of halting the disaster's spread.
