Story

Nabeshima Tatsuya, once a celebrated painter, withdrew from the art world following an unspecified incident. He now leads a reclusive life as a social studies teacher, residing in his classroom's preparation room with only his cat for company.

The new school year introduces three students who begin to re-engage Tatsuya with life: Kusunoki Iroha, an admirer; Kurusu Sakuya, who feels an inexplicable pull towards him; and Akebi Saki, the daughter of his former mentor. Their presence gradually infuses color into his previously monochromatic existence.
